Bob Barnard works as a weather reporter of FOX 5 Washington, DC. His job entails covering different events that involve the climate and weather.
During Bob’s February 19 report on the icy conditions of the city, a dog interrupted him.
The incident happened when Bob was discussing the road conditions in the area. The reporter was scrapping some ice off a neighborhood car when the cute puppy scampered into the shoot. Bob got caught off guard, but he quickly picked the dog up, allowing the puppy to be part of the broadcast.
It was a difficult situation for the reporter, but Bob handled it well and turned the segment into a funny one. In the video, Bob said he wanted to get to know the dog better, so he spoke to the puppy as if he could be understood. But instead of getting a remark from the puppy, Bob only received kisses from the dog.
For a moment, Bob forgot that he was reporting about the icy condition in Washington. However, the report was handled in a fun way and became a segment about dogs. After the puppy took some of the limelight, her owner arrived to get her.
At that time, Bob learned that the dog’s name is Pierogi. Pierogi’s owner said that the dog got excited when she saw Bob’s team arrived. The dog continued to bark to get Bob’s attention, but Pierogi did not get any response from the reporter.
Since the dog was too eager to steal the limelight, Pierogi jumped over their gate. At that time, the dog’s owner was inside the comfort room, so she was not able to stop Pierogi.
Although Pierogi interrupted Bob’s live report, the reporter became so happy because the dog made his day. The feeling seems mutual since Pierogi likewise enjoyed the limelight she got.
