Everyone felt sad about how Taiwan got rocked by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake. High-rise buildings tumbled, structures obtained damage, many people got injured, and the most devastating part was the disaster claimed eighteen innocent lives. Rescuers did not stop searching for survivors, and thankfully, the number of people who survived outweighed those who did not make it.
President Xi Jinping extended his sincerest condolences to all who lost their loved ones. He made a promise that the government was willing to give the help that all the victims deserved. While lots of people were still busy hearing some news about the disaster that transpired, many had spotted a tiny dog as he was getting pulled from the rubble of the 17-story building. The emergency personnel passed the dog along until she was out of the building.
What surprised the people more was the puppy did not only miraculously survive but did not also sustain any injury. In times like that, it was comforting to know that dogs were being cared about as well. The canine rescuers have been of great help ever since the start of the search for possible survivors. As per The Washington Post, twenty-three sniffer dogs got immediately deployed to the area.
The rescue operation did not end overnight. Sadly, on the first day, one hundred people still could not be found, but the admiring thing was everyone cared about one another, whether it was a human or a dog. Everybody received equal treatments during those trying times.
Watch the video below to see that even if in the middle of a big disaster, many people still managed to give importance to a little puppy’s life. It could be seen from the video that there is absolutely a space for dogs in this world.
